Lovely museum in the heart of Bromsgrove centre. The upstairs is a lot bigger than you would expect. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff who volunteer and dedicate their spare time to helping out. Recommend the visit to here

Hidden gem of history for the Bromsgrove area. It's beautifully appointed it terms of displays and friendly informative staff. Never realised the famous Liver birds and Buckingham Palace gates and railings were made locally. Well worth a visit to support a volunteers ran local attraction

A really well presented Aladdin's cave of local history. Very friendly welcome and exceptionally good value. My children aged 6 and 8 enjoyed it. Took about an hour to go around when taking time to look and read.

We visited here today to pass an afternoon on a rainy day and it was fantastic! It is much bigger inside than it looks on the outside with loads of interesting things to see inside. Great care has been taken to curate the museum in a way that is interesting with real shop fronts from Bromsgrove. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Dennis himself and not only that he walked round with us picking out bits and pieces to show us, things he thought my Dad (64) would be interested in and also things for my daughters (10, 7), he was absolutely lovely. Overall a fantastic unexpected gem that is definitely worth a visit.

On my doorstep and it's taken me far too long to visit! Really fascinating collection and insight into Bromsgrove's past. Lovely to be accompanied on our tour by Mr Norton himself who gave us lots of interesting tales. Well worth the visit.

Walked past the museum today with my 9 year old son, which we’ve done many times but today he asked to go in. We’ve never gone in before as it looks so small from the outside but it’s really not. So many interesting things to see. It was a really fun afternoon. The volunteers there were really lovely and so great with my son. He had a quiz sheet to find a selection of items which kept him entertained for a good hour. Definitely worth a visit!!

Deceptively small museum from the outside but now occupies two floors and a small garden area. Interesting memorabilia and much of it made locally in the area's industrial heyday. Staffed by volunteers and we were fortunate enough to meet the owner while we were there. Highly recommended for a visit.

It's absolutely amazing what's actually in there entry is £5 per adult, didn't realise how many trades have disappeared from and around Bromsgrove, well worth a visit it's only open Fridays , Saturdays and Sundays and it's now called the Norton Collection.

Visited today with my young daughter after searching for places to pass an hour while the wife was having some beauty treatment. I was first intrigued after looking through the website, although this is not a Norton Motorcycles museum it does have two fantastic old and very very unique motorcycles that any real fan of bikes would be thrilled to see. What really drew my attention though was how the collection came to be and how it ended up in the building it is in now. Mr Norton actually purchased the building in a state of disrepair and restored it himself in his spare time. This is as much a part of the collection as anything else and really shows the skills knowledge and the character of the man. A big thank you to Dennis and the team there today for being so welcoming. I shall definitely be revisiting when i have more time to study the collection.

Absolutely fascinating place, incredible collection (with much more in storage!), So well set out as store fronts of original Bromsgrove stores 50+ years ago. Mr. Norton obviously has a great passion for his home town! Also met some well-informed volunteers, long-time residents with whom we chatted - loads to tell us! So interesting. An absolute treat!!! A larger place with a tea-garden would serve Bromsgrove well.

The hidden treasure trove of Bromsgrove, with a vast array of items to look at. There's a lot to learn about Bromsgrove and you’ll likely need to visit more than once in order to take it all in. The volunteer staff are welcoming and can offer you a short tour of the museum answering any questions where possible. Dennis the owner and principle maintainer of the collection regularly pops in and has a very good knowledge of the antiquities on display, and of their historical importance to Bromsgrove. There are also activity worksheets for children/teenagers. The entrance fee is also very reasonable.
